Hi! What a lovely, hopeful ending. I am incredibly curious about Norman and I think his boyfriend...? that TJ lived with for a while. I may be ignorant having not read WG or Smut Peddler, but I'd love to hear that story...

bigbigtruck:

They were a couple who informally took TJ in when he was about 14~17. I’d say Michael was in his mid-late 40’s and Norman was in his late 30’s-early 40’s at the time. They were together for about 15 years before Norman passed away.

Michael (never Mike) was a well-to-do lawyer and a bit of a homebody (when he could manage it), and Norman was more artistic and athletic. Michael had a large collection of classic musical LPs (not Webber but like, Rodgers & Hammerstein, that sort of thing), which is why TJ knows those songs.

After Norm died and TJ left (which is a long story in itself), Michael eventually quit his job, went to seminary, and became a priest. I like to imagine that he and TJ ran into each other one last time before TJ left San Francisco.

Here’s Michael on the left and Norman on the right (sorry, I haven’t drawn them much so this is pretty nebulous):

Are you an LGBT creator who could use some money to help you self-publish your comic? Then you might want to check out Prism Comics’s Queer Press Grant, now open for submissions!

Prism Comics offers an annual financial grant to help aspiring LGBT comics creators publish and promote their comics. The Queer Press Grant is funded by donations from readers, established creators with the desire to help those just starting out, and fans who want to see more LGBT stories get published.
“It’s an exciting time for LGBT comics creators.” says Ted Abenheim, president of Prism Comics. “Every day there are new artists and writers creating comics which present the wide diversity of LGBT experience. Great works of serious literary merit, but although the comics industry has begun to embrace LGBT comics, it is still difficult and expensive for independent and aspiring comics creators to get their comics into the hands of readers. The Queer Press Grant helps self-publishing LGBT comics creators accomplish this goal.”

Past winners include Megan Rose Gedris for “YU+ME:dream”, Pam Harrison for “House of Muses”, Tana Ford for “Duck”, Christine Smith for “The Princess”, Blue Deliquanti for “O Human Star”, and Hazel Newlevant for “If This Be Sin”
Go to the Queer Press Grant page for instructions on how to apply. The deadline for proposals is Monday, September 1, 2014. The grant will be awarded at the Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco October 4-5, 2014.
Prism will also be exhibiting at San Diego Comic Con next month, conducting portfolio reviews, presenting panels, and hosting creator signings.

This helped me out a lot during a turning point in my life! You should definitely all give it a shot!

14 Nights is finished! Here is the epilogue.
Thank you to everyone who has followed along all these years. Your support has meant so much to me.
When I started this story about a fat amputee and a man afraid of sex, I assumed it would make the Bad Webcomics List and be the laughing stock of 4chan. But I went ahead and put it out there anyway, not really caring if I got made fun of. It’s been almost 5 years, and I’ve never received a single hate mail for this story. Instead, I’ve gotten dozens of letters thanking me for writing it.
Thank you for reading it.

14 Nights ended today! If you’ve not caught up, now’s a good time; if you’ve never read it, now’s an even better time.
I really envy Xiaomao’s use of space, silence, and surreal imagery all through this comic, plus the characterization is tops.

This comic has been gorgeous start to finish, what a fantastic read. <3 Congratulations on finishing it and thank you for sharing it, Xiaomao!

I love like. All the Cecil headcanons, I’m partial to First Nations Cecil in particular, wow what a design <3 (And sometimes I shake my head at blue eyes White Cecil.) But it is kinda hard to go wrong!
For myself, I tend to picture shadow monster Cecil, when I’m not busy picturing all the other lovely renditions of him. He’s got glowy glowy insides and his features are constantly changing. Sometimes the changes just stick to his face, sometimes his whole silhouette will change. He tends to keep kind of a standard face, but if his emotions are running high or he’s being scary/possessed, he’ll be even more wont to look the part.
And Kevin is like the same thing but if you hit invert and make him a mean fucker.

I did a quick google search and found the artist’s etsy - https://www.etsy.com/shop/RadiantGrey it would’ve been really good if they’d included thattt
